The hardest scene to visualise is from the Hobbit, when Bilbo lights a fire

with matches.

Matches.

If you can't visualize someone lighting a match, you've got a serious imagination disorder. Most people have seen such a thing hundreds of times in real life.

If you're talking about believability rather than the visualizability, then you didn't understand the question.

The Dwarves all use flint and tinder.

A flint rock can be used over and over. A match only once. It's undeniably established that matches do exist in Middle-earth. If you think they shouldn't, that's entirely subjective, but in any case, is no excuse for being unable to visualize something so elementary.
