Some people who liked to do exposure estimation, either to determine exposure or as a reality check on their meters found the APEX system handy. It was a sort of middle way between the ASA Sunny f/16 system and the DIN exposure table system. There were some leaf-shutter cameras which had an exposure value lock so that changing either speed or aperture would change both at once. Peter.
