$50 of my Conservative money, per month, goes to supporting a variety of causes. I can guarantee you that the bleeding heart Muhammad Al-Snit Prescott Computer Guy doesn't give a penny to anyone and probably only donates a can of Chef Boyardee every Christmas. Even though I'm Conservative, I help out everywhere I can and even though I don't particularly like them, I probably help Muslims to feel more welcome at work than anyone else in the building. Conservative generally means Christian and the latter obligates you to be as good of a person as you can be in practise, not only _speak_ nice things as most Liberals do.

Steve Carroll
Oh c'mon, you know as well as anyone you haven't acted in a Christian manner on usenet (and you're often not trying too hard, either). You can't have it both ways... a serious discussion on this and act the way you've acted. This isn't net-nannying, it's just reality and the same goes for Snit with his 'holier than thou' attitude.

Slimer
Nothing in my faith requires me to respect liars like Chris AssStorm, Peter the Klöwn, Wideload Porkster, condomresiduev or any of the other "advocates." As such, I make no effort to do so. They deserve the lack of respect and nothing more. If they ever apologize for their constant lying, I will forgive them and treat them respectfully but as long as they deny that they are the filthy, dishonest assholes that they are, I will continue to treat them like the stains that they are.

It is not about respect... it is about your actions. Notice I rarely sink to their level, or yours, of making up fantasizes about people's lives and posting them. Notice I use evidence and reason and logic to back my views - or not where my views are my opinions. I do not often let other's poor behavior push my behavior down.

You have talked about me as the "moral authority" of COLA. I think we can ALL act in a moral way... but even with that it is not a contest. Do the best YOU can do to improve yourself. All too often you give up on that and put others down with silly grade school insults.

Heck, look at how you spoke of anxiety issues - a common challenge among vets. You denigrated them out of ignorance. It was quite repulsive.

cc
With your denigration and generalizations you're really no different than the people you are attempting to put down.

Slimer
Liberals disgust me, especially with their lack of faith.

Steve Carroll
Not me. I know lots of people with mostly liberal views (I share some of them) and I have very few problems with them. Don't confuse Snit with "liberals", he's a far left loon.

Slimer
My experience has shown that most liberals are exactly like him. You're probably closer to the centre.

I am actually quite moderate (as is Obama, by the way). In political ratings I come close to Gandhi... hardly a bad place to be. :)

They can be atheists all that they want but I have no reason to share their beliefs or to even respect them. With all that I know about my faith, the one true faith, I will not tolerate parasites like Muhammad Al-Snit Prescott Terrorist Guy saying anything negative about it.

Steve Carroll
That's his MO, pretending to be all PC while looking down his nose at you, mocking you, etc. In my opinion, were you to embrace the incredible amount of humor in his blatantly ridiculous hypocrisy you'd have a lot more fun on usenet.

Slimer
I have no patience for such things.

So you have something to work on. OK.

Meanwhile notice how Carroll belittles my views in a meta-way... no actual speaking of any of my views. He will not discuss them but here is a brief summary: ----- I back equal rights and the idea that hard work / productivity should be tied to financial gain... and work against special entitlements. I believe in personal responsibility.

I also believe that we, as a society, should invest in infrastructure and the future - and that failing to do so means we will not compete well in a global economy. Also think that people should cover the price of their own costs and risks as much as they can without pushing those onto society. -----

To Carroll this is "extreme" - it is something he cannot stand. No special entitlements! Personal responsibility! Wise investments in our society!

Nothing REALLY extreme or immoral about that at all - hence the reason he remains so vague. And if pressed he will just post fantasizes about my life.

He is not a moral person, and this resents anyone who is.
