SnitThen why are you still talking about what books have written in them and the historical actions of people?
On 11/25/15, 6:10 PM, in article n35m21$bo7$1@dont-email.me, "Slimer" <.m@nsn.s>wrote: ...SnitSlimerThere is a huge problem with some MuslimsSteve Carroll
Right... "some" ... like entire countries full of them (and not just a couple of small ones, as I have shown with the PEW data). These are countries where the majority of the general population is OK with cutting off limbs for stealing, stoning people to death for adultery, etc. Let me repeat that: The population is OK with these things.
And anyone who is OK with these kinds of things should remain in that country and leave the West alone.
I think those societies are immoral... but that does not mean ALL Muslims back these things. In polls too many do. No argument here. But I do not back painting all Muslims with one brush, any more than I back painting all Christians with one brush.SnitSteve CarrollSlimer
Fact: It doesn't matter what any book says or doesn't say, what matters are the actions of people *today*.
Agreed. Doing the right thing without any expectation of reward is the way to go.
I do not think this fact he states in in any debate.
Of course it is, the PEW data alone supported it to any sane, honest and honorable person.SnitSteve CarrollSlimer
Fact: *Today* Islam still has a lot of issues that Christianity has either already worked through or never had in the first place.
Agreed.
This is unsupported.
People of both religions do a lot of evil things.Irrelevant.
So you'll be pointing to similar data that shows their general populations agree with the kinds of things I pointed to in the data I presented?SnitSteve CarrollSlimer
Fact: Way too many Muslim countries *are* practicing outdated civil rights 'laws' don't line up with the civil rights laws they agreed to when they joined the United Nations.
Absolutely.
Agreed. Of course, this is also true of some predominantly Christian nations, too.
