You're struggling. Where do you put the batteries into this one?

You apply the red and black clamps to the battery. You don't "apply" the USB charger from Apple to the battery, you connect it to a Lightning port.

You're welcome.

The posts and the port device are both merely conduits for the charging input. Both allow connectivity and a means of attachment. Same function with different configuration.

Incorrect. The battery charger above has the capacity to take power input and regulate it correctly for directly charging a specific type of battery.

The Apple USB power adapter has no such functionality.

You're welcome.

The point is that the link above shows a battery charger. Both you and nospam made statements that batteries go *in* a battery charger. Obviously, this is true of some but not all battery chargers.

As expected, instead of arguing the point you resort to arguing detailed semantics. It's all you've got since you know nothing about power converters, battery chargers and the like. You see someone saying that a battery goes into a battery charger and your natural knee jerk reaction is not whether the Apple USB power adapter is a battery charger, but whether or not you can attack based on an exteremeley literal interpretation of the words. That's your game, and you do it *all the time*.
