This all started when you sat iPhones have no moving parts.

Next he'll be saying they have no mecanical parts.

Sandman
They don't, since the topic was data loss - smart phones have no mechanical parts in relation to their data storage.

Eric Stevens
That's a considerable retreat from your original claim. Very wise.

nospam
nonsense. it's not a retreat at all.

this discussion has *always* been about data loss.

Eric Stevens
Except when people diverted from the subject of the original thread.

whose fault is that?

the answer is those who diverted.

the subject has always been the same.

peter was trying to confuse the issue by bringing up irrelevant details just to argue, because that's all he knows how to do.

Eric Stevens
Well, he was paraphrasing what he could recall of what he was told by Apple.

it wasn't so much forgetting what they said. it was arguing over moving parts when it was clearly obvious that a button or switch (which does move) has *nothing* to do with data loss. he is arguing just to argue. it's what he does. he made a lifelong career out of doing that.
