X represents the screen's area and power draw.

Y represents the power draw of the rest of the system.

No. X is the power required for the screen which is going to be proportional to the screens area at most. Y is the power necessary for the CPU, WiFi, and the other parts of a phone or tablet that don't need to change with increasing screen size.

That is why iPhones don't power 60" screens.
