What is defined as X and what is Y? The screen's dimensions?

X represents the screen's area and power draw.

Y represents the power draw of the rest of the system.

Since you don't have empirical facts, you really don't know.

If X is doubled, Y must increase.

That is why iPhones don't power 60" screens.
