Yes there was. The need to be able to actually view streaming content in a more immersive manner than the teeny weeny iphone screen allowed.....

In other news, a colleague who went from the iPhone to an Android Phablet fone earlier this summer has switched back to iOS. He said that the large screen size had trade-offs.
