No, it's not just a guess. It had some hard data behind it, it's just that nospam couldn't remember the actual numbers, so based on memory, he estimated them to be something close to what they were.
He didn't even count or test some of the cameras.
i don't need to check every single one. it was a random sample and more than one failed.
it was also not a one time event. it's actually fairly common.
there are often non-functional products in big box stores because people abuse the products and nobody gives a shit about fixing them, or they're on display and missing some key component, usually a battery because people steal them and it's not always possible to connect it to a power source.Oh, you spend quite a bit of time in big box stores in their camera department.
