Obviously your are not aware of the fact the binaries depends of the operating system !

Hey, Mac users keep telling me that a Mac can run anything Windows can. Are you saying that they are lying?

Nope. You are correct that one of the benefits of a Mac is that it can run anything a PC can.

But yes, an Intel mac can run any current operating system you like. Then the system can execute the executable. So use the Windows version.

You can either use parallels ( you have to pay for it) to have different system at at the same time, or bootcamp that is free, to alternate. In any case, you have to buy a Windows licence, and they are not cheap.

In other words a Mac can't run anything Windows can? Do tell.

What Noelle is telling you is that Windows can be installed on a Mac, not that the operating system that comes with a Mac is Windows-compatible. The difference is that out of the box, a Mac can't run Windows programs, but Windows can be installed on that Mac in a number of different ways. Via virtualization, or on a seperate partition - or even by removing Mac OS X completely and running only Windows on the machine (a bit foolish perhaps, but possible).

But, you still need to purchase a Windows license to run Windows and thus Windows applications. So while possible, it may not be economical in all instances.
