I knew someone who, not that many years ago, was still makiing a lliving from Cobol.
the smarter companies ditched cobol before it was a problem and laughed at the suckers having to pay ridiculous amounts of money to fix their systems before it was too late.
there is even object oriented cobol (really), which is very bizarre.
nothing new is done in cobol. all cobol related work is maintaining ancient legacy systems.
