Wife updated to iOS7 on her iPhone 5. Can't read the fonts without glasses, especially when texting (WTF were they thinking, white thin text on a light green background-W T F-and making the fonts bold doesn't change anything), fonts too thin, cartoon colors too distracting. Phone slower than before and eats up the battery faster.

This, fanbois is the future of Apple.

I updated my iPhone 5 and like most of the new things, but I could do with less pastel colors, not contrasty enough for me.

But all of that can be changed from the defaults, so it isn't a big deal. As to the glasses, well I was using reading glasses for some things with all phones for quite some time, so nothing new.

Mine seems quicker in some respects and I haven't noticed battery life being an issue at all though there have been some posts that indicate some are having issues with that.

Biggest issue (contrast can be adjusted, dynamic font size also) are the white letters over a light f**** green background with no customization possible. *NONE*

Sure it can. I've changed it around quite a bit and got rid of that light green background.

I like very contrasty, just better for me. And I don't care at all about cutesy backgrounds and such. So I created a new one.

Put my finger over the camera lens and took a nice black picture. Now that is my wallpaper. Completely readable and VERY contrasty. I'll experiment with some color swatches sometime today to see if I can come up with one I like a little better.

On my Nokia 920, I can change themes and hence, the background color of the test.

Yeah, I wish I could do more in the way of modifying a theme as I'm not overly thrilled with the default ones.
