No one said that Apple invented USB.

Yes they did - here in CSMA in fact. I don't recall who exactly (it

Sure would be nice if there were a way to search old posts so you could prove your assertion....

was like 8 years ago), but the basic gist was exactly that (Apple invented USB), and once shown their idiocy, they pivoted to 'popularized' USB, which itself was bullshit too. Hell, it might have even been Travelinturd Ragosta...

And still you can't find a post....

And I once told hh years ago, I was one of them. But I was also using a USB mouse then as well.

And USB support for mice and keyboards didn't require OS support. Manufacturers supported those through BIOS as far back as 94. But what about everything else?

Yeah, I heard this retconned rationalization before too. BFD. So manufactuers made their peripherals appealing to the two markets.

Then why as of '98 couldn't I find a USB Zip drive or a USB CD-Writer?

How long do you think companies would have continued making those early USB peripherals if only Mac users bought them, and PC users didn't?

You're right because companies didn't release SCSI peripherals (when few PC users had them), or ADB peripherals, or Nubus cards, or PDS cards, or Firewire peripherals.....
