It's a good thing they are able to bring their toys with them because very few corporations would actually spend any money on Macs for their businesses, since well, they are toys and, Apple offers no support for the enterprise, given that it is a manufacturer of consumer toys.yourAlan BakerNobodyNobodyAlan Baker
LOL
So you're saying there isn't a lot of Macs at the JPL?
I'm saying that despite budget cuts there are clearly people at JPL who value having a Mac enough to spend the money.
So they are spending tax payer money on fancy toys, in spite of >>Alan Bakerclaim budget cuts prevent this.flatfish+++
Your statements are based on a false premise which itself is based >on your biases.
Since you don't like Macs, you assume they're "fancy toys".
The simpler conclusion is that if people are still buying Macs >when there is a cash crunch, it's probably because they value them >

their needs.
Also a lot of corporations have a BYOD (bring your own device) policy and as long as it meets corporate security standards, all is well. And again, if staff at JPL are choosing Macs for their own devices, it suggests they value them.Jay Songbird
