LloydNope. Why don't you go to Amazon.com, search for "USB 3.0 Hub" and read the reviews. I can guarantee you some of the 1-2 star reviews will be from MacBook Pro Retina owners.

Yep, there is still some software that uses them.
And of course, the damned things have always been problematic which is why most software did away with them years ago.
Steve's problems with USB devices could very well be caused by those damned things!
