KDTI was at a developer conference for Android and one session was about co-developing apps for both platforms. They said to always work on getting the iOS app out first because iOS users are much more willing to pay for apps, while Android users expect free apps that are ad-supported. They said that iOS users got used to paying for stuff with iTunes, and thus paying for apps on the apps store was a natural progression. The Android users were more technically inclined and were more likely to get their music collection on their phones by ripping their CD collection to MP3s, and not paying 99?/track.
Apple's app store is outselling the Google Play market 4 to 1 even with half the market share..... Developers go where the money is.
